A STANDING OVATION FOR SITONIT

SitOnIt Seating drew a crowd at NeoCon 2015 while showcasing their stylish and innovative chairs. Rio, winner of HiP Award for Educational/Institutional Seating, and Lumin are multipurpose plastic chairs that were positively received. The chairs placed in a category that has been traditionally low-tech, crowds were impressed by the chairs’ comfort-level, versatility and style. ARC (Active Rebound Control) Technology will provide each user with ergonomic bounce-back support, all while providing a stylish contemporary aesthetic.

Rio’s durable flexback makes for a stylish and versatile seating solution for education, corporate, and healthcare markets. A unique insert enables the chair to flex based on the amount of weight pressed against it. Hidden inside the back base, the flexor insert is made from polyoxymethylene – an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability. It is also available in a four-leg chair or café stool (27” and 30”), seventeen plastic shell colors, two-frame finishes with matching arm pads, and a built-in pull handle.

Lumin’s contoured seat relieves pressure points for greater comfort while the perforated back allows breathability. It is available in a four-leg chair or café stool (27” and 30”), seventeen plastic shell colors, two-frame finishes with matching arm pads, and a built-in pull handle.

Two other chairs were unveiled: Amplify Upholstered and Focus Sport. SitOnIt has reimagined these recurring favorites:

Amplify has its same slender profile, but is now available in a variety of textiles. Aerodynamic lines make this collection a powerhouse built for comfort and style. The upholstered chairs are available in midback and highback with multiple frame, arm and base colors. Built-in features like the enhanced synchro or swivel tilt, height adjustable arms and adjustable lumbar support place this chair in a class of its own.

Focus showed off a new, sportier model with special features like textured arm pads, mesh and caster options. This chair offers long-term comfort for a task environment. Arm pads feature a contoured, textured surface, beveled edges and a restful front slope. The mesh of the chair is available in two striped patterns – Freeway and Impress – to complement the standard Focus mesh colors.
